ADJ Joins Prolight Concepts Group for ‘Party at the Point’ 30th Anniversary Celebration

ADJ Lighting was proud to join UK distributor Prolight Concepts Group for its spectacular ‘Party at the Point’ event last week, celebrating the company’s 30th anniversary. Held at Prolight’s headquarters, Edison Point, in Colne in the north of England, the event welcomed more than 400 customers from across the entertainment technology industry for a day of supplier showcases, guided facility tours, networking, food, drinks, and live music.

As ADJ’s exclusive UK distributor in the UK, Prolight Concepts Group has become an important strategic partner for the company. The anniversary celebration therefore provided the ideal opportunity for the ADJ team to connect with customers, demonstrate key products, and celebrate the success of a company that has become one of the UK’s leading entertainment technology distributors over the past three decades.

During the event, ADJ also took the opportunity to present Prolight Concepts Group founder and Managing Director Andrew Jeffrey, together with his son, Group Operations Director Bradley Jeffrey, with a commemorative plaque marking the company’s 30th anniversary milestone.

“30 years in business is a significant milestone and everyone at ADJ sends their best wishes to everyone at Prolight Concepts Group,” states ADJ Europe’s Sales Director, Sebastian Mobers. “I have known Andrew and the company’s solid reputation for many years, however, since we appointed Prolight as our exclusive UK distributor last September, we have had the opportunity to build a much closer relationship. We have been impressed by the passion and dedication of the Prolight team, their commitment to customer service, and the way they have embraced the ADJ brand and are doing a great job of championing it in the UK.”

“The business that Andrew, together with his wife Susanne and son Bradley, have built is truly something special,” adds Jos Reulen, ADJ Europe’s Export Sales Manager. “I have known Andrew for many years and have always been impressed by his vision, passion and integrity, all traits which are embedded into Prolight. I wish the whole team the very best as they celebrate this significant anniversary, and look forward to continuing to grow our partnership in the years to come.”

Throughout the day, visitors were invited to explore Edison Point through guided tours, with ADJ’s dedicated showroom demonstrations serving as the final stop of the experience. Running at regular intervals, the presentations highlighted six popular ADJ lighting solutions designed for touring productions, live events, installations, and festival stages. ADJ’s versatile WMS1 Media Sys portable LED display solutions were also deployed across the site to provide vibrant informational signage.

“It was a pleasure to attend Party at the Point and join in the celebration of Prolight’s 30th anniversary,” comment’s ADJ’s PR and Comms Manager, Eddie Short. “Andrew, Susanne, Bradley, and their team really pulled out all the stops to make everyone feel welcome with a fantastic display of true Northern hospitality! In the demo room we welcomed a steady stream of visitors who had the opportunity to see a selection of ADJ’s latest lighting fixtures showcased in a perfect setting and I had lots of positive conversations with visitors who were impressed by what we had on display and wanted to find out more. I was also privileged to present Andrew and Bradley with a commemorative plaque on behalf of ADJ and – highlighting Prolight’s proactive ‘can do’ attitude – was impressed to see it already installed on the wall by the end of the day!”

At the center of the demonstrations hosted by ADJ was the new Focus CMY Compact, a small but feature-packed automated luminaire capable of functioning interchangeably as a beam, spot, or wash fixture. Powered by a 400W LED engine delivering up to 15,800 lumens, the fixture combines impressive output with extensive creative flexibility through features including CMY + CTO color mixing, dual GOBO wheels, rotating prisms, frost filters, wireless connectivity, and a wide motorized zoom range.

Also showcased was the Focus Flex L7, a fast and versatile LED-powered moving head wash beam fixture. Utilizing seven potent 40W RGBL LEDs, the fixture offers rich color mixing, enhanced CRI for natural skin tones, pixel-mapping capabilities, and an expansive motorized zoom range from 6° to 55°, making it equally suited to wide washes and tight aerial beam effects.

Visitors also experienced the impressive output of the Vizi Beam CMY, a feature-packed beam fixture powered by an Osram Sirius HRI 310W PRO discharge lamp. Delivering an intense 2-degree beam, the fixture combines lightning-fast movement with extensive beam-shaping tools including CMY color mixing, dual prisms, 17 GOBOs, frost, and precision focus control.

Adding a striking retro-inspired aesthetic to the showcase was the Vintage X. Combining four bright amber LED strips with RGB background glow LEDs inside a distinctive octagonal housing, the fixture delivers eye-catching scenic and audience effects while blending classic styling with modern LED technology.

Complementing it was the Vintage Bar, which offers a similar vintage-inspired look in a rectangular format. Featuring four independently controllable amber COB LEDs surrounded by RGBL glow LEDs, the fixture creates warm blinder effects combined with vibrant color accents ideal for stage and venue applications.

The final fixture featured in the demonstrations was the Jolt Bar FXIP, a versatile IP65-rated linear fixture combining powerful white strobe/blinder LEDs with RGB wash LEDs. With independently controllable zones and rugged outdoor-ready construction, the fixture is designed to deliver dynamic eye-candy effects for concerts, festivals, and large-scale productions.

The event proved to be both a fitting celebration of Prolight Concepts Group’s remarkable 30-year journey and a valuable opportunity for customers to experience ADJ’s latest lighting innovations firsthand. With a packed showroom, enthusiastic visitor response, and a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day, Party at the Point highlighted the strength of the growing partnership between ADJ and Prolight, as well as their shared commitment to supporting lighting professionals across the UK entertainment industry.
