Filled With ADJ Fixtures, Acqua Lounge Wins Mondo DR Award for Best Nightclub
Last year, Tirso Lighting completely renovated the popular Acqua Lounge nightclub in Lawrence, MA, stripping it back to its bare floor, ceiling and walls before redeveloping the space with a bold new layout, striking interior design and impressive AVL system. The results were truly stunning, and this standout project has now been recognized on a worldwide stage, being named Best Nightclub at the prestigious Mondo DR Awards 2025. This global recognition celebrates excellence in entertainment venue design and technology integration, and Acqua Lounge’s remarkable renovation – featuring a cutting-edge ADJ lighting system – fits that bill perfectly.
The Mondo DR Awards, hosted annually to coincide with InfoComm integration technology exhibition, spotlight top-tier design projects from around the world across categories such as bar & restaurant, stadium, theatre, and nightclub. The award for Acqua Lounge recognizes not only technical excellence but also the creativity and impact of its overall guest experience.
The renovation of Acqua Lounge was an ambitious undertaking – one designed to blur the lines between lighting, architecture, and atmosphere. The lighting system, entirely powered by ADJ fixtures, plays a central role in the transformation. A dynamic combination of Focus Beam LED, Focus Spot 5Z and Jolt Bar FX luminaires work together to provide the powerhouse for the club’s atmosphere, crafting immersive environments that evolve throughout the night – from sultry and sophisticated to high-energy and electrifying.
